FAAFEA Blacksmiths meet on Thursday evenings between the hours of 6pm and 9pm. We do close for the winter starting on Thanksgiving and opening on the first Thursday of April.
Classes given at FAAFEA Blacksmith shop are FREE and are given to to educate and perserve the art of blacksmithing. If you come to participate in the fun you will be required to wear long cotton pants, a top matching current climate conditions and closed leather shoes/boots. You will recieve a safety class before you can start blacksmithing and you will be matched with a teacher for the night. We give 3 free classes and then we leave you to your own imagination. If you are under 18 you will be required to have a guardian present. We recomend you be 11 or older to start and also to expect to get dirty. We provide safety glasses, metal and hearing protection for those starting. If you plan on continue coming and hammering we ask you to join our club and help support us in our endeavors.
