Going to attempt to layout the making of bolt tongs

STEP 1    Heat the Handles and stretch them out to desired length and thickness.  Personally I like to round the whole length of handle because some times you like to choke up on the handles.
STEP 2     Cold  chisel a line to follow down the center of the jaw blanks.  This line will give you a guide to work from once you heat them up to cut.  We did this in the vise.

STEP 3     Red heat first and deepen your mark.  Then yellow heat and cut even groove down to  the depth of the elbow.  We made a quick jig to help hold the tong upright while we cut the groove.  This also could be done by putting in the vise the same way we did to make the mark to cut on.
STEP 4    Widen the split out to desired shape.   Use the edges on the anvil to spread the groove.
STEP 5     Center punch where the hole should be drilled and then drill a pilot hole.  Drill the final hole to the size of the rivet.
STEP 6     Set the rivet.  Rounding the head is best done with ball side of hammer.  We used a rivet header in this case.
